Bloom Yoga Postnatal Teacher Training embodies a feminine approach in practice + philosophy; empowering women to nurture themselves so that they can provide the best possible care to their babies and families.
30 Hour Postnatal Yoga
Teacher Training
When a baby is born, so too is the mother; this is a sacred time of transformation, learning, and growth for both mother and child. During this time a woman’s body requires nurturing, love and rest as she learns to reconnect to her new self – both physically and emotionally.
Learning Objectives:

Overview of the female body following birth

Explore yogic concepts as they pertain to motherhood

Honouring ‘The Fourth Trimester’

Emphasis on trauma informed teaching

Safely sequence classes for new mothers from 6 weeks after birth

Provide modifications in a general class setting where necessary

Learn specific postures to assist/alleviate common post-natal ailments for breast/bottle feeding, back, and neck pain.

Apply short, simple pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques specific for the post-natal period

Anatomy of the Core + Pelvic Floor, including exercises and recovery

The use of Sound and Meditation as a tool to soothe and settle babies in a mum + baby class setting

Learn gentle post-natal sequences and their purpose

Explore the benefits and practice of restorative yoga for new mothers

Discover how postnatal yoga can help postpartum depression as well as how to support mothers with local resources and information
The ancient wisdom of yoga provides a framework for mothering in the modern world
Yoga much like motherhood is a journey of self-discovery and surrender; the wisdom of yoga teaches us to lean into this transformative time.

Create an inclusive welcoming space for new mothers to connect, share and practice

Utilise props to build strength and awareness

Teach postnatal safe practices for core + pelvic floor

Accreditation + Certification
To graduate from the 30 Hour Postnatal Training you will complete:

Self-Paced Online Postnatal Introductory Module: 2.5 hours

6 Hours of Postnatal Yoga Class Observation: in-person or online

Case study, Assignments + Book Review
Upon completion of course content and assignments, course participants receive a 30 Hour Prenatal Yoga Certification
30-hours towards CPD with Yoga Alliance International and Yoga Australia
